What are the Business Hospitality & Excellence Awards?
Run by Master Chef Promotions, which has championed chefs and the food industry since 1997, the awards celebrate the UK’s best restaurants, hotels, caterers and hospitality people. They were launched in 2015 and include fourteen regional Restaurant of the Year awards, specialist awards and awards for people.
How do I vote?
Go to the Vote page, choose one nominee in as many categories as you like, then enter your name and email address once to send your votes. You can also vote straight from a nominee’s own page. We email you a receipt.
How many times can I vote?
Once in each category, with your own email address. You can vote in every category. If you vote again in a category you have already voted in, your first vote is kept.
When is the public vote open?
Public voting for the 2027 Awards opens on Sunday 18 October 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 30 November 2026.
How are the winners chosen?
The public vote decides the finalists in each category. Our panel of judges then chooses the winners from the finalists, looking at food quality, service, ambience and value. Lifetime Achievement is chosen by the judges alone. Vote counts are not published.
How do I nominate a business or person?
Use the Nominate page. Tell us the nominee’s name, town and email address, choose the categories and add a few lines about why they deserve it. Our team reviews every nomination before it goes on the public vote.
Does my nomination appear straight away?
No. Our team checks every nomination first, so duplicates and mistakes do not split the vote. Once it is approved and voting is open in that category, the nominee appears on the ballot.
Why is a category not on the vote yet?
A category goes on the public vote once it has 11 or more approved nominees, so every award has a real choice. Until then it stays open for nominations: if you know a business or person who deserves it, nominate them.
What do nominees need to provide?
Some categories ask for a food hygiene rating of 4 stars or more and at least two years of trading (except Newcomer of the Year). We may also ask for a short profile, photos of the food, a short video and links to reviews, sent to info@masterchefpromotions.com.
When and where is the gala dinner?
The awards ceremony and gala dinner is on Monday 24 May 2027 at The New Bingley Hall, Birmingham (1 Hockley Circus, Birmingham B18 5PP). 4pm – Doors and registration open, with networking and exhibition stalls. 5pm – Welcome drinks, as networking and the stalls continue. 6pm – The awards ceremony and gala dinner begin.
How much are tickets?
Standard ticket £150, Standard table of 10 £1,500, VIP ticket £200 and VIP table of 10 £2,000. You can book on the Tickets page.
I did not get my receipt email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, your vote may still have been counted: email info@masterchefpromotions.com with the address you used and we will check.
How do I stop emails from you?
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and we will not send you news again. You will still get receipts for anything you do on the site, such as voting or buying tickets.
