This policy explains how MCP Events Limited (company number 16119764), trading as Master Chef Promotions, of 159 Warwick Road, Coventry, CV3 6AU, uses your personal information. We are the controller of your information. You can contact us at info@masterchefpromotions.com.

What we collect

• When you nominate: your name and email address, and the nominee’s name, email address and town, the categories and your reasons.
• When you vote: your name, email address and choices, plus your IP address and browser details so we can keep the vote fair.
• When you buy tickets: your name, email address, phone number, company, the nominee you are with, and your guests’ names and dietary needs. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
• When you contact us or ask for the sponsor pack: your name, email address, phone number, company and message.

How we use it

• To run the awards: review nominations, tell nominees, count votes, prevent cheating and announce finalists and winners (legitimate interests).
• To sell and manage gala tickets, and to send receipts and booking information (to perform our contract with you).
• To reply to your enquiries and send the sponsor pack (legitimate interests).
• To send news about the awards and the gala dinner. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and we will stop straight away if you ask (legitimate interests, or your consent where you ticked a box to receive news).

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run the awards, such as our website host, our email provider and Stripe for payments, and with our judges where needed to assess nominations. Nominee names and towns are published on the website once approved.

How long we keep it

We keep nomination and voting records for up to three years so we can run future awards and answer questions about past results. Ticket records are kept for six years for accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, unless we need to keep it by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email info@masterchefpromotions.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work, such as keeping forms secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
